Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 14 had several announcements during the recent Fan Festival, from the new expansion Dawntrail to the Xbox Series X/S version. Both are coming next year, but in the meantime, players can look forward to patch 6.5, “Growing Light.” Part 1 goes live in October, while Part 2 follows in mid-January 2024 in patch 6.55 and connects the story to Dawntrail.
Along with patch 6.5 adding new quests and expanding the free trial to include Stormblood, Duty Support extends to all current content. You can now experience all the Duties solo with AI companions right up to the finale of Endwalker. Other content includes Tribal Alliance quests, Splendorous Tools, The Lunar Subterrane dungeon and a new Trial, The Abyssal Fracture.
A new Unreal Trial, Alliance Raid, additions to The Island Sanctuary – including a Morbol as a new animal – and much more are also coming. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
Final Fantasy 14 is coming to Xbox Series X/S in Spring 2024, while Dawntrail launches this Summer.
