Since Inflexion Games first announced Nightingale back in 2021, the co-op survival game has been on the radar for many, especially those who’re fans of the survival genre, though the way has dragged on a little longer than expected- and is going to drag on longer still.
Originally set to launch in 2022, last year, Inflexion Games made the announcement that Nightingale’s early access launch had been delayed to sometime in the first half of 2023, with the studio shifting development over to Unreal Engine 5. Now, the game’s been delayed a second time.
In a recently uploaded developer update video, Inflexion Games CEO Aaryn Flynn announced that Nightingale’s early access launch has now been pushed up to Fall of this year.
“After many discussions with our team, we’ve come to the decision to move our early access launch date to Fall of this year,” Flynn said. “The reason for the release date shift is simple. The playtest process is working. The feedback we’ve been receiving from players has been invaluable, and the extra time will allow us to continue the progress we’ve been making while not jeopardizing the health of our team.”
Flynn went on to add that Inflexion will look to make a number of improvements to the game with the added development time, including tuning progression and pacing, making quality-of-life improvements, and “continuing to work to make the realms feel as mystical and amazing they can be.”
