HoYoverse’s Honkai: Star Rail was a huge success at launch, crossing 20 million downloads on its first day. Of course, even with a meaty story, the story is only just beginning. On May 26th, the developer will host a Special Program for Version 1.1, detailing the latest information and benefits the update offers.
A new animated short provides some background on Jing Yuan, an Arbiter-General on the silkpunk flagship Xianzhou Luofu. Perhaps the next update will continue that story, offering more information on Yuan’s master, Jingliu, and the strange affliction known as Mara. Leaks indicate that Jingliu is a playable character, so it should be interesting to see where things go.
Honkai: Star Rail is free to play on PC, iOS and Android. It’s also coming to PS4 and PS5, though no release window has been announced. In the meantime, you can read our official review of the PC version, where we awarded it a nine out of ten.
