EA and Codemasters recently unveiled F1 23, and confirmed that just like its predecessor, it will come with support for VR headsets on PC, which, given how good the VR support in F1 22 was, is certainly cause for excitement for fans of the Formula 1 racing sim series. But will PlayStation players also be able to experience the game in virtual reality as well?
Sadly, it looks like that won’t be the case. In a statement to Mixed News, EA has confirmed that F1 23 will not feature support for PlayStation VR2, which means you’ll have to play the game on PC if you want to experience it in VR, as was the case with last year’s game as well. Whether or not PS VR2 support is something that Codemasters eventually ends up adding to the game down the line remains to be seen, but for now, it seems like PC VR will be the extent of it.
F1 23 is due out a little over a month from now, on June 16 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
