Gaining experience in Redfall is, to say the least, painstakingly difficult. Killing enemies, even on the highest difficulty, gives very little XP. It’ll take hours to get through the first few levels, and the rest of the journey isn’t a walk in the park either.
For most of the game, you’ll be walking through empty areas with little to no NPCs and a few vampires lurking around the corner, ready to pounce on you and bleed you dry. Therefore, opportunities to farm XP are quite scarce to begin with, but we’ve put them together in this guide. So let’s begin!

How to Gain XP Fast
Prioritize Standard Missions
Missions grant the most XP in Redfall. Simply focus on the mission objective and avoid killing unnecessary enemies. It’s more efficient to earn XP from completing missions than from killing enemies. Here are a few tips that’ll help you prepare yourself for the tougher missions:
Stakes are useful – Even a headshot from a sniper rifle cannot kill vampires. So make sure to always have at least one stake weapon on you.
Prepare for every scenario – Upgrade the Rewire and Lock Pick kits as soon as possible.
Check your surroundings – You never know when enemies might pounce on you, so always pick a safe spot for fast travel.
Disable Alarms – Cars and houses have alarms indicated by a red light. Hack and disable them using a rewire kit before entering either of the options. Otherwise, you’ll end up alerting the enemies.
One cluster at a time – Instead of aggroing the entire enemy force, focus on smaller groups and take them out before moving on to the next. This makes it much easier to finish missions on your first try.
Silencers aren’t all stealthy – Although shots from silenced weapons won’t immediately alert enemies, they’ll draw their attention.
Focus on Side missions
Once you’re done with the main story, focus on side quests. Although the XP is halved compared to the main mission, it’s still better than farming enemies.
Miscellaneous activities
Besides the main and side missions, you can also earn XP by killing enemy mobs and unlocking safehouses.
