Final Fantasy 16 State of Play Set for April 13

Final Fantasy 16

Even amidst a barrage of megaton releases in 2023, Final Fantasy 16 is a game that is generating more hype and excitement than most. As we get closer to its launch in June, Square Enix has already been showing off quite a bit of the game- soon enough, however, we’ll be getting plenty more still.

Sony has announced that a new State of Play presentation is coming this Thursday, on April 13, at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 11 PM CEST. It will be entirely focused on Final Fantasy 16 and will be showcasing over 20 minutes of gameplay from the action RPG, highlight its dark fantasy world, its bombastic action-packed combat, its Eikon battles, and plenty more.

The majority of focus in all of Final Fantasy 16’s pre-launch coverage has been on the combat, so hopefully, we’ll be learning more about its world, how it’s structured, and how the game will handle exploration.

Final Fantasy 16 recently went gold, and is due out on June 22 exclusively for PS5. Square Enix has previously confirmed that it will also get a demo roughly a couple of weeks before launch.
