The wait for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp has been a long one, but after some unforeseen delays that pushed the game back a little bit more than most have anticipated, the remake of the beloved turn-based tactics franchise’s two Game Boy Advance instalments is finally upon us. Recently, Nintendo released an overview trailer for the game as a primer on what players can expect from it, and hot on its heels, IGN has also published a gameplay video that shows off over six minutes of new footage.
The video starts off by showcasing two battles, with Andy and his forces going up against Olaf in one, and Nell and her forces stepping in in place of the former in another. The latter of the two also gives us a glimpse of what Re-Boot Camp’s CO Powers will look like.
Meanwhile, the remake’s map editor is also showcased in the gameplay video, with its impressive variety of options and creation tools put on display. Players will be able to set various different kinds of terrain with unique properties across a grid, including sea, land, mountains, beaches, forests, and more, while other options will allow you to add in cities, bases, bridges, roads, and the like, in addition to being able to pre-deploy a vast variety of units. Check out the video below for more details.
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is due out for the Nintendo Switch on April 21.
