With last week having seen a number of major new releases, it’s no surprise that there’s been some interesting movement in the latest weekly UK physical sales charts (via GamesIndustry). FIFA 23 holds on to the top spot in spite of a multitude of new releases, though WB Games’ open world action RPG Gotham Knights debuted in second place, with 78% of its sales coming on the PS5.
Fellow new release Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, meanwhile, has debuted at No. 3, while yet another new release in Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment’s A Plague Tale: Requiem comes in at No. 5. 90% of its launch sales were on the PS5, though it’s worth noting that on Xbox Series X/S, the title is also available via Game Pass.
Persona 5 Royal also saw its long-awaited launch for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5 last week, and the widely acclaimed RPG has re-entered the top 10 at No. 6. 79% of its sales were on the Nintendo Switch, 17% on PS5, and 4% on Xbox Series X- though again, it is also available via Game Pass.
There’s also Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Illfonic’s new asymmetrical multiplayer title, which debuts outside of the top 10, in fifteenth place.
