Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch 2 will see its first limited-time seasonal event starting on October 25th with Halloween Terror. Along with spooky maps, it also adds a new PvE Brawl, Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath of the Bride. The event was recycled continuously through the years in Overwatch 1 with minimal changes, but fortunately, that won’t be the case in the sequel.
As revealed by Blizzard president Mike Ybarra on Twitter, “The @PlayOverwatch 2 Halloween event is a brand new game mode. It’s the sequel to Junkenstein’s Revenge.” While the exact mechanics are unknown, it should be a step up from the original which saw four heroes simply defending a door from waves of enemies.
It’s confirmed that all three new heroes – Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko – will receive Halloween skins. Halloween Terror runs from October 25th to November 8th. During this time, players can claim a free Legendary Reaper skin called Cursed Captain and Health Pack Weapon Charm for free. Stay tuned for more details on the event in the coming days.
